Just Starting Out

So you are thinking about teaching your children at home ... or you recently started.  Either way, congratulations!  Any veteran homeschooler will tell you that it takes a lot of time and energy to teach your children at home.  It IS a lot of work.

Homeschooling is also one of the most rewarding things you will ever do!

I have spoken with thousands of homeschoolers over the past thirteen years and while there are some hurdles that families have had to overcome from time to time, not one family has ever told me that they regretted their decision to teach their children at home.  Not one.

I encourage you to visit other areas of my website, read some of the essays, take a poll, and leave comments on my blog.  Let me know your plans.  Share your frustrations.  Ask those questions that you've been afraid to ask anyone else!  I will never judge you for asking an honest question.  I am here to help you through those times when you question your decision, can't figure out what to do with your 7-year-old, or feel discouraged.

The articles below are meant to encourage or share information with new homeschool families.  Please let me know if there is a topic on which you need information, but cannot find on this website.  I will do my best to post something promptly.
